Can I see my client's results?

Can a health coach order lab tests for clients?

No — a health coach can't order lab tests, because ordering labs requires a clinical license. But your clients can order their own. Priority One lets a client choose the tests, has an independent licensed physician authorize the order, and returns the results to a dashboard they can share with you. No license, no ordering account, and no cost to you.

The wall every coach hits

Practitioner lab platforms — the ones built for functional medicine — require an active clinical license to open an account. If you're a certified health coach, nutrition coach or wellness coach, you're locked out, and the workaround (asking the client to get their doctor to order it) fails as often as it works.

The fix isn't getting you ordering authority. It's letting the client order for themselves, with a physician on our side authorizing it, and making sure the results come back somewhere both of you can use.

How coaches use Priority One

You tell a client what you'd like to see tested — say a metabolic panel plus ApoB and a full thyroid — and send them to the lab store. They order in their own name, pay their own published price, and get drawn at any Quest. When results land, they can export a PDF of their results or share the dashboard view with you.

For coaches who send more than a few clients, we can set up a partner menu: a curated list of the tests and panels you work with most, under your name, so clients aren't browsing sixty tests to find the four you asked for.

What we don't do — on purpose

Priority One doesn't pay coaches, trainers or clinicians per order, and we don't offer commissions to anyone who refers their own clients. Paying someone for steering the people who trust them into a health service is the arrangement healthcare referral laws exist to prevent, and it's a conflict of interest whether or not a license is involved. Your clients pay us directly; you're never in the money flow. What you get instead is a tool that removes the biggest bottleneck in your practice.

How ordering your own labs works

Pick the tests or panels you want from the lab store — individual tests start at $5 and panels at $79, with the price shown up front. An independent licensed physician reviews and authorizes the order; that's what makes it a valid lab order without a visit. A flat $10 lab service fee covers that authorization and the draw, once per order, however many tests are in it.

You'll get a requisition to bring to any Quest Diagnostics location — no appointment required at most sites. Results usually land within about a week and appear in your Priority One dashboard, where they're charted against the lab's reference ranges and against your own earlier results so you can see the trend, not just a number.

Priority One is available in 47 states. New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island don't allow this kind of self-ordered testing, so we can't serve those three yet.
